In 1961 a group of Spokane Families got together to create the foundation of Merry Glen
And in 1973 Merry Glen opened its doors to support
all of the families that fought for humane
and comfortable alternatives to institutionalization

Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can find a welcoming, supportive home at Merry Glen.
Our cooperative model brings families and professional caregivers together to create a safe, nurturing residential environment where each individual can thrive. Families remain actively involved in their loved ones’ lives and have a meaningful voice in the care and community that surrounds them.
At Merry Glen, we believe family involvement is an essential part of creating a true home. We welcome families as active partners in supporting their loved ones and building a caring, connected community.
